Another month has begun and so has the Christmas season (except for Tescos who started bringing in selection boxes in September, I might have even seen one at the end of August?) November is usually one of the more album-packed months for releases. There's your Christmas stockings, there's the X Factor to promote it on and it means you can have a bit of a break before those big summer tours. So with that in mind, here's just some of the big albums to look out for:
Jake Bugg- Shangri La
November 18th
Bugg has certainly made it big over the last couple of years and he's wasting no time in delivering his second album. Recorded with Rick Rubin in LA, this should be a sure-fire hit for the still, very young indie songwriter.
Lady Gaga- ARTPOP

November 8th
Born This Way was a little preachy but from what we've heard of this album thus far, it seems like Gaga is beginning to inject a little bit more fun back into the whole process again. This will undoubtedly be the big seller of the month, if not the year.
The Killers- Direct Hits
November 11th

While I still take issue with the lack of actual "hits" on their fourth album Battle-Born, this 15 song collection which includes new single "Shot at the Night" is a reminder of how talented a writer Brandon is and the sheer amount of success the band has achieved already in their career. Hopefully it won't be the deathnail on the hits however, as these compilations have been for other artists in the past.
Tinie Tempah- Demonstration
November 4th
The rapper's last album was a huge success so the follow-up will be no picnic in a park. The pressure is on- the question is, can he deliver? With big collaborators, this could be make-or-break for the aspiring talent.

Eminem- The Marshall Matthers LP 2
November 5th
It's a revisit to the rapper's most successful album. It would want to be a step up from Relapse (which was comic but lacked the heart) and Recovery (which had heart but lacked the comic side)- no easy feat but so far with "Survival," "Rap God" and "Berzerk," it's looking good.
Those are five of the more interesting albums being released but there is of course a whole lot more going on, so if you like One Direction, Chris Brown, Erasure and James Blunt (?), keep an eye out.
