Pete Tong makes his return to Dublin this week for what looks to be one of the shows of the year. The legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ and host of the renowned Essential Mix is back in Dublin for what promises to be an incredible show this Thursday night. He will play the soldout Calvin Harris and Tiesto show at the O2 before making the short journey through the port tunnel to take his spot on the stage at Ireland’s most formidable club The Wright Venue in Swords.
The highly anticipated show will also see the return of Flashmob fresh from a sellout visit to the Button Factory last September. Tong has a reputation as a bit of a kingmaker in dance music circles. The Pete Tong seal of approval is an almost surefire way to see an act is on the up. He also has a deft ear for spotting the new talent before most. His Friday night show is a showcase of the most relevant music from around the globe. He also has a stellar reputation behind the wheels of steel, no doubt garnered from over 30 year of experience.

Having hosted his own brand ‘It’s All Gone Pete Tong’ for years in Ibiza he has a pedigree behind the decks and is one of the most treasured performers every summer on the Balearic Island. This Thursday is a rare opportunity for Irish clubbers to catch the house music don on their own ground and it seems like they are taking that opportunity with both hands. Dublin is certainly buzzing for this particular show, a tribute to the stellar promotions of Dublin based entertainer JACK who has managed to attract some of the best dance music talent in the world over the past 6 months. All in all a tasty proposition for partygoers this Thursday evening.
