Tickets to the show on Fri 11th Oct are available here
Mat Zo is somewhat of an anomaly in modern dance music. He’s a young man with bags of talent and he also happens to be one of the more articulate members of the worlds dance music community. His latent talent has marked him out as somewhat of a prodigy in the game, his early drum and bass origins are in the past now and his powerful mix of trance and progressive house is now his focus. He also happens to be one of the most vocal artists out there, constantly offering advice or trying to solve the worlds problems. It can get a little taxing at times but one thing that must be said is that he offers a voice of wisdom in a time of madness and for that he should be commended.
The other interesting facet to Mat Zo is his diehard fanbase. He has tapped into that Anjunabeats loyalty that is incredibly hard to find in a time where producers come and go like the wind. He has the devout backing of his fans and because of that he’s not afraid to push boundaries. That’s what makes him such an exciting property. He sets are diverse and exciting. You could easily find a trance track from 10 years ago mixing into his newest smash ‘Easy’ alongside friend Porter Robinson.

So with all this in mind his visit to Dublin this Friday is an exciting prospect. Coming to the Village with dominant Irish clubbing brand Residence means that the diehard Zo fans who come along are guaranteed great production, great atmosphere and above all else.. Great music. With a new album ‘Damage Control’ in the offing this is the first of many album shows where Zo will showcase his new sound. Due to the unfortunate leaking of the album it now longer possesses the mystery it once did but you can be sure the quality will be there. If there’s one artist you step outside your sphere to see this year make it Mat Zo.
