Nothing is definite yet but it looks like one of the peoples' favourite boy bands could be back for this year's VMAs. Speculation began with rumours earlier this week and yesterday (the 24th August), the band opened an official Twitter page, suggesting that these rumours may not just be rumours...Tweeting "Mic check, mic check one... two... is this thing on?!," the fans quickly retraced their old CDs from back when Shaggy was a house-hold name and favourited it across the web.
JT will be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the highly declaimable awards and so it seems as fitting an occasion as any to gear up the reunion. JT has of course had a very hectic year. He released The 20/20 Experience already with a shock return and its sequel is due September so this may well be his year if all goes well. The band last perfomed in 2004 and JT has enjoyed an even more succesful solo career since but nostalgia is big business these days, so without being able to confirm their return for sure (but very very likely), we'll leave you with a piece of the past:
