Thank God for the genius technology inventors in the world. A new Google Chrome extension called Showgoers lets you sync your Netflix stream with someone else's so you can watch TV together.
Finally, a beautiful answer to the age-old problem of wanting to watch a TV show with your friend but you're both too lazy to leave your respective houses. Now you can watch TV together and not have to have a social interaction of any kind!
Once you download Showgoers, a little pair of 3-D glasses will pop up in the right-hand corner of Netflix. When you click those glasses, a message will show up with a secret link, simply copy that link and send it to a friend who has Showgoers installed. The extension is still new and being tried and tested so it can be a bit slow and jumpy sometimes, but all those kinks will be smoothed out soon.
