Budget Icelandic airline WOW Air! have announced that they will be launching a new route from Dublin airport from this April.
Between April-June and during September and October, flight prices from Dublin to JFK will start from €130, including taxes and charges. The flights will operate 7 days a week and, like the other trans-Atlantic flights operated by the airline, will feature a stop-over in Reykjavik.
In the statement announcing the new route, WOW Air said "The airline will begin flying to JFK in spring 2018, with the inaugural flight departing on 26 April. Flights will operate seven days a week".
With WOW Air! already flying to multiple American destinations, this marks the first time they are flying directly to one of New York's main airports, whereas previously Newark was the closest New York serving airport.
