We've really heard it all now. Designers are universally known for selling clothing and accessories at astronomical prices but there's been the odd weird object from time to time. There was Balenciaga selling a knock-off Ikea bag for €1820, Supreme selling a brick and now there's a Prada paper clip.
The oversized paperclip is being sold for a steal at just €163 and is thought to be used for holding wads of cash together. Its sterling silver frame is 6.25 centimetres long and 2.25 centimetres wide, so what you're really paying for is its slightly larger size.
People of the Twitter-verse were, safe to say, baffled by the unnecessarily expensive item;

The Prada paper clip is just another addition to a long line of designer items which really shouldn't exist. Will we be holding together our fiver notes with this anytime soon? The answer is most definitely no.
