Tv3 has decided to reduce the output of their flagship fashion show Xposé, from five episodes down to three. The long running magazine show celebrated it's 10th anniversary this year & will also be pulled from 3e, being broadcast exclusively on TV3.
The show will continue as a half-hour programme, sandwiched between Coronation Street and Emmerdale. There are no plans to revamp the current line-up, following 2016 culling of presenters Lisa Cannon, Aisling O'Loughlin & Peter O' Riordan.
The program has consistently pulled in viewing figures of over 100,000, but it is hoped the reduction of the amount of broadcasts will help stabilise the show.
According to a source with Independent.ie, the decision to pull the additional shows from 3e was described as a "no-brainer"
The show is in a good position on TV3 as it usually airs in between the soaps in the evening, but the show on 3e wasn't pulling in high figures, mainly because it's still a growing station within the group," said the source.
The changes mean that the content will be higher as it's being spread across three shows instead of five, so there won't be as many 'filler' items.
Some weeks are quieter than others so it's far easier to fill three shows a week as opposed to five, so it will hopefully reduce the workload for the three girls.
So now that you Xposé fans have an extra forty minutes during the week to make up, maybe you can check out TG4's new fashion show 'Gléasta Chun Féasta'. The series will involve a team of designers creating three bespoke outfits for a special event in the guest's life.
